Tip for May 30, 2008 - Healing for Nemo

Life certainly has its ups and downs and as a result my energy has been elsewhere and you have been on my mind.

You see a few weeks back our little dog Nemo had an eye laceration that took us to the Animal Hospital up in Langhorne, Pa and then into New York City for eye surgery.

It started out with the Vet in Langhorne suggesting a procedure that would allow the eye to heal on its own...but I am a firm believer in second opinions and called my friend in NYC (a vet).

He was not happy about what I reported and called the hospital in NYC.  Once we got there it was clear that little Nemo needed a graft over the perforation in the lens of his eye.  Without that the iris would never return to its original position.  Something the other vet never told us.

Here are some pictures of Nemo's recovery...;-)

We all breathe a sigh of relief as our little friend recovers!!!

Very best,
