You know how some people have trouble finding and getting dates, while others can get dates but find the whole process painful? Then there are those who get into relationships but just don't seem to get their needs met, which leaves them feeling frustrated, hopeless and lonely.

Seeking out intimacy, both physical and emotional seems to be hard wired into us. As if to say the need for that kind of "special" connection with another human being is absolutely primal.

But just because we have this need does not mean that we can always achieve or create this kinds of relationships with out some help. One thing seems to be true and that is happiness is really found in that special connection.

According to a recent study by Dr. Mehl, a Psychologist "By engaging in meaningful conversations, we manage to impose meaning on an otherwise pretty chaotic world," Dr. Mehl said. "And inter-personally, as you find this meaning, you bond with your interactive partner, and we know that interpersonal connection and integration is a core fundamental foundation of happiness." This is not the first time this idea has been suggested and it won't be the last.

In a longitudinal study that has kept track of a group of then-Harvard students since 1937 suggests having loving relationships is the key to happiness. Over their lifetimes, the 266 male participants, including John F. Kennedy, were given regular medical and psychological checkups, returned questionnaires, and sat for interviews.

Intense analysis of this information, has allowed psychiatrist George Vaillant, who has been in charge of the study for the last 40 years, to conclude, "Happiness is love.

You know it, I know it and the world knows it, at the end of the day it is about your relationships but it can be all easier said then done.
